In the Name of God Amen
I Cornelius Buxton of No 16 Snows Rents, York Street, Westminster being sound in mind but in a bad state of health do now make, declare and publish this Will to be my last Will and Testament. First I leave and bequeath to my dearly beloved Wife Hannah all my right, title and claim to a Lease of eight houses in Maidenhead Court, Saint Ermin’s Hill in the Liberty of Westminster as per Lease which will expire at Michaelmas, One thousand eight hundred and forty nine, likewise I leave to my dear Wife all my claim to the Lease of No 16 Snows Rents which will expire Midsummer One thousand eight hundred and forty six, likewise I leave to her all my claim to the Lease of Nos 1 and 2 Snows Rents and further I leave and bequeath to her all the fixtures and furniture in the two houses Nos 4 and 10 Snows Rents and further I leave and bequeath to my dear Wife all my fixtures and furniture in all the houses and pictures in the above three mentioned Leases and further I leave to my dear wife all my Plate Silver Watches and every other description of Property I may eu+ possessed of to hold and enjoy during her life but with no property to sell or dispose of any part thereof. And I appoint and declare my dear Wife to be my sole executrix to this my said last will and testament and at my dear wife’s death I bequeath and desire all my property of every description shall be sold and be equally divided between my four dear Children James Rayner, Elizabeth, Ester Ann and Cornelius. But to Cornelius over and above his share I leave and bequeath to him twenty five pounds to apprentice him when he leaves the Grey Coat School Hospital and request my dear wife to appoint him a Master and if the whole of the said twenty five pounds is not paid as a premium I desire she may pay the remainder to him as he may want it and at my death I leave to my dear son Cornelius my silver watch No 116 Makers name Douglas Whitehaven and at my dear wife’s death I appoint and declare my dear Daughter Ester Ann then to become my sole Executrix to this my last Will and Testament and to see all my wishes and desires faithfully executed and if her Mother should die before Cornelius leave the school I request her to appoint him a Master and pay the twenty five pounds in the same way I have appointed her Mother to do But providing my dearly beloved Wife should but I am quite sure she never will marry again I then appoint my said daughter Ester Ann then to become my sole executrix as if her mother was dead and immediately take possession of all my property and sell and dispose of the same for the benefit of my said four dear children as above written. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this nineth day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty two
