Narrative

From Margaret Wells Christmas 2009. These are photos from Gwladys's archive, passed on through Brenda Wells. Margaret photographed many negatives with a macro lens and a light box to recover these. Emrys picked out the useful ones, photoshopped them to fix exposure problems, and labelled them in Picasa. Margaret checked the labels. The ones with a filename "neg..." were copied from negatives for which no print existed.

Narrative

Two superb pictures of Williamses in the street in Cefn Coed (Brenda Wells says).

Picture 1: Betty Ellis, who352, who353, Marian E T Thomas(complaining), Nancy Williams daughter of DJ, who354, Brenda daughter-of-Gwladys, Mavis Williams daughter-of-DJ, Nancy Ellis

Picture 2:
who400, Mavis Williams in spots, who401 tiny, Nancy Ellis stripes looking down, Betty Ellis plain dress, Brenda daughter-of-Gwladys flowery dress, Nancy Williams, who402 with dog, who354.

Judging from the apparent age of Brenda daughter-of-Gwladys, the photos were taken in about 1939. Brenda was famously in Cefn Coed on the day WW2 was declared.
