I searched for Buxton-Carr children born 1933-1973. I found
Name: Michael D Buxton
Mother's Maiden Surname: Carr
Date of Registration: Jul Aug Sep 1945

And it's Michael D Buxton that runs the online family tree that's definitely our family, so this must be him.

I also found

which is suggestive because this branch of the family seems to hang around in Essex, and it's the right gap for another pregnancy, and it's a popular saint's given name!

There are two other Buxton-Carr kids born in Liverpool.

From the online family tree, I found that the "living Buxton" married a "Living watkins". I looked for Buxton-watkins children born 1961-81 and found

which is a neat group of 3. Michael D Buxton would have been 31-32-33 when these were born.
There's another group of 2 Buxton-Watkins kids in Enfield in 95-96 - wrong number of kids, wrong age. That's the lot.

and she seems to be in the Kettering phone book:
