Event Note
Maudie's death certificate says simply, "Cause of death: DIstalgesic poisoning. Killed herself." Distalgesic was a very commonly prescribed painkiller and used to be the commonest cause of suicide by overdose. It's now banned. Distalgesic can cause death within the hour, but Maudie died in hospital. |
