| Narrative |
They did marry in the church at Llanfihangel fechan. Thomas Watkins was able to sign his name on the certificate, but Margaret Price could not. The witnesses were William Price (who signed) and Ann Cattrick (who made a mark). Maybe William was Margaret's borther, about 7 years older than Margaret. Who was Ann? The certificate shows that Thomas Watkins's father was also called Thomas Watkins. |

Margaret Wells tells me:
Glascwm means green valley - it is 3 miles West of Newchurch, Radnor.
Thomas lists New Church as birthplace in 1871.
Narrative
Both Glascwm and Newchurch are in the Presteigne registration district.
